Who We Are
A church living to point people to a relationship with Jesus and a closer connection with each other.
One Hope Covenant Church is a church plant in Elkins, WV that began in 2017. We were started as a small congregation with the sole purpose of serving and loving our community with love, peace, compassion, empathy, and kindness. We are a church centered on the teachings of Jesus, especially focusing on the sermon on the mount (Matthew 5-7). We long to see Jesus be made known to the people in our community and beyond. We firmly believe Jesus is the One hope we have in this world for healing and reconciliation.

As a church, we felt the leading of the Holy Spirit to read Ephesians 4:2-7. The call of the whole Church, not just our own, is to live in humility, gentleness, patience, love, unity, and peace. We have "one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father who is over all and through all and in all." We are in this world together and as a part of the body of Jesus Christ, One Hope strives to see a world reconciled in humility, justice, and kindness. All are welcomed at the table of Christ. We open our doors for those who are seeking to be renewed by the Spirit for the sake of reconciliation with their Creator.

OUR MINISTRY LEADERS
Bobby Benavides is the Lead Pastor for One Hope Covenant Church. He moved to West Virginia from southern California in 2003 to serve with WorldVision-Appalachia, as a Youth Development Specialist. He moved to Elkins in 2013 to serve in youth ministry but felt led to pursue the call of church planting in 2016. He is happily married to his lovely wife of 12 years, Natasha, and they have four young children. That's a lot of information about him.
Lora Hollen is our director of children's ministry. She is passionate about helping children learn about God and teaching them ways that they can grow closer to Him. Lora is currently employed at Upshur County Head Start. She is married and has a son. She also loves her 3 dogs and 4 lizards.
Seth Blake is our worship leader. He is currently a music teacher at Elkins High School in Elkins, WV. His passion is to see people come to a closer relationship with Jesus through music. He is a good guy and really likes comic books. He is also married to another talented music teacher.
